Windows: Directly call Internet Properties

Currently, I'm working in the customer site. There are 2 wireless networks to connect depend on the location in the building. The problem is one of them need to set Proxy to surf internet but that proxy limits many things I need to use, such as LINE for PC. Therefore, I switch back to use no Proxy every time I can use the other wireless.

There are many steps to open Internet Properties to set the Proxy. So, here are the steps to call it faster.

Environment: Windows 7 x64

  • Right click at the desktop. Select "New" and then, "Shortcut".



































  • In "Create Shortcut" pop-up window, add "rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL inetcpl.cpl,,4" for "Type the location of the item:". Click "Next" button for the next step.



























  • Type any name that you want in "Type a name for this shortcut:". Then, click "Finish".


























You will find the short cut icon that you just created on your desktop.







Double click to see the result. You can click at "LAN settings" button to set Proxy as you wish.

LINE: Change the contact name

People use some other name to represent themselves in LINE. To search them, you might not be able to remember what name they are using. You can just change the displayed name to what you call them. Follow these steps to change it. Environment : Application: LINE version 3.1.7 O/S: Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 Device: Samsung Galaxy S III Press at the friend that you wan to change the name. Google Sheet: How to perform spelling check in other language

Google defaults spelling check in English for you. What if you are writing in other language and want Google to perform spelling check for you. Here are the steps: In your Google Sheet, click at main menu "File" and then select "Spreadsheet settings...". Click at the drop-down list under "Locale". Select the language you want Google to check spelling and click "Save settings" button. In this case, I want to select check with Mexican Spanish dictionary. Now, click at main menu "Tools" and then, "Spelling...". Google will check the entire sheet and suggest you to change the word. Click "Change" button if you want to change. It seems like Google will recognize English anyway. Unless, you type in any other language, it will suggest you to change to Spanish word.
